S7 200 Modbus Slave Library Download
Siemens S7-300 PLC as a Modbus TCP Slave or Master. The CP341 is a serial port (RS232/422/485) and that solution is Modbus RTU not TCP. Siemens does have an Open Modbus library but I can't seem to find any information other than a part number. Siemens wrote a Modbus RTU (not TCP) 'driver' for the S7-200 in ladder (or possibly IL, I. The example is set up for a MODBUS communication between the Ports 0 of two S7-200 CPUs (preferably each with 2 communication interfaces). On the master side it would also be possible to select Port 1 with the corresponding library block selection 'MBUS_CTRL_P1' and 'MBUS_MSG_P1'.
I guess you are looking for a Protocol convertor from PROFIBUS-DP to MODBUS or from PPI to MODBUS. Unfortunately this requires an extra piece of equipment, another card, and it is not easy to find it. I know Telvent is working on a Protocol convertor from MODBUS to PROFIBUS but they convert in the PROFIBUS master, not in the slave, anyway it will be easier in the slave. I have no idea about the other port of S7-200 PPI, but I think this will be even more difficult.
Tell about final solution in the forum please. Hi, With the 'MicroWin add-on command library V1.1' you can directly communicate with the S7-200 on a Modbus RTU system. See ID 12330145 on WWW4.AD.SIEMENS.DE (search with search on that ID). In ID 11859930 'S7-200 Micro-PLC Optional Software Packages' is the above Library for the S7-200 with the ordernumbers. The PPI port of the S7-200 = RS485 and may directly used for the Modbus communication.
The new libraries installed with STEP 7-Micro/WIN32 Version 3.2 are supported on all 22x series CPUs, (CPU221, CPU222, CPU224, CPU226 and CPU226XM at present). The 21x series CPU's do not support the Add-On Instruction Library. Best Regards, Lowiek. You have clicked on the '?' Button for search help. • Precede each search term with a '+', as follows: • +Modbus +TCP Otherwise, any post with either term will match. • Use double quotes around phrases, as follows: • +'Allen Bradley' +ethernetOtherwise, posts containing these words in separate locations will match. • To exclude a word, precede it with a '-', as follows: • +Modbus -Plus This will return only posts containing 'Modbus' but NOT containing 'Plus'. • Note that common words (and, that, etc.) and words shorter than 2 characters are automatically excluded from searches. We are using a Siemens S7-200 PLC for trip handling. We want to connect this PLC to a DeltaV system using Modbus communication.
We used the Siemens Modbus library to implement the Modbus function in the PLC. We now want to use the Siemens PC/PPI cable to connect it to a DeltaV serial card with Modbus protocol.
We can't get it running. We now first try to use a Modbus scanner directly from a PC to test the communication. Does anyone have some more information about the S7-200 Modbus communication? Do you have the communications specs for the S7? The setup for comms on the DeltaV serial card is drop dead easy.
I've used it for many different PLC's, controllers, xmitters, etc. Some things to look for: - Is the S7 wanting to be master or slave? (most likely slave) Be sure to set the DeltaV SIO card to accomodate. - do you have the proper pinout for the type of connection you're trying to make. Remember it's different for RS-232, vs.

Check DeltaV books online for diagrams showing the pinouts. - do you have the comm port configured properly for baud rate? And data bits. (a good first guess if you don't have the S7 docs would be No parity, 8 data bits, and 1 stop bit.
