G'day Shawn, I have just purchased a 2011 F25 X3. Would you be able to provide me with the latest (that doesn't need a token) E-Sys and PSdzData software, please. Thanks in advance For F25, that would be E-Sys 3.18.4 with 48.3 PSdZData. However, if your car was programmed by the dealer since 11/2012, it will likely have something newer than 48.3 on it, in which case you can't use this setup.
So why wouldn't you just download E-Sys 3.22.5 with Patch / Token, and 50.2 PSdZData, which is sure to work? For F25, that would be E-Sys 3.18.4 with 48.3 PSdZData. I had read elsewhere in these forums that tokens were needed for later versions and assumed that the tokens weren't available - sounds like I was wrong:-( Is it possible to determine what version is installed on the vehicle already?
In any case, can you provide me E-Sys 3.22.5 with Patch / Token, and 50.2 PSdZData then, please? Thanks for your reply, Shawn.

The only way to tell for sure, is to connect with E-Sys, and read the car's current I-Level. There has always been a Patch / Token available, just it is not included as it was in the older version, and must be obtained separately. Can anyone advise me the best way to update daten file how do i put the new daten files on ANY ADVISE WILL BE A GREAT HELP To update the daten files, copy the files from SP-daten-E## daten to the C: NCSEXPER E## DATEN (where E## is whatever chassis you're updating). You will also want to copy the files from SP-daten-E## SGDAT to C: NCSEXPER SGDAT (they're not separated into different chassis in NCS Expert, so you just want to copy and paste everything to that directory. Overwrite everything it asks about).
The last step to fully updating the install is copying the files from SP-daten-E## ECU to C: EDIABAS ECU. To update the daten files, copy the files from SP-daten-E## daten to the C: NCSEXPER E## DATEN etc.
The hot tip is to not do any of that by hand anymore but to use 'BMW Coding Tool' to automate your file copies / updates / platform changes. Works wonders, great little addition to use of EDIABAS tools. I PM's the OP. Their response, 'Try with 7zip or Izarc' 7zip was able to uncompress. Runs in Win7 just fine. No virtual XP machine needed.
Only issue I've had so far with this version is writing NCSExpert to my E39 LCM. For some reason under this later version the write gets rejected and fails. I reverted to my older versions (EDIABAS 6.4.7 and NCEX 3.0.8) and the exact same FSW_PSW.MAN file gets written completely fine, all my changes accepted.
HTH somebody. If anybody knows why the write wants to fail on this later version I'd love to know as I hadn't heard about any loss of backward compatibility until now.
I am embarking on coding in a new CCC for my 2007 e60 (525i). I got ahold of BMW Standard Tools 2.12 and NCS Dummy, but not sure what DATEN file I need or where to get it. Would love a little primer too. I'm pretty technical, but it seems like every time I go to read up on stuff it bounces around between what is required for exx vs. Standard Tools Installer has options for EDIABAS, EDIC-Driver, WinKFP/NFS, INPA, and NCS-Expert tool. Do I need ALL of them installed? Default is with EDIC-Driver unchecked.
